BEGIN ANXIOUS MUSIC:
Centaurus and his companions crossed the countryside to reach a forgotten land. As they came closer to the shadowed region, they felt anxious. Something didn’t seem right to any of them. The four heroes stopped at the shoreline of their present land to stare across the river that separated them from the mysterious continent. All that was left to do was cross a bridge.

Alzahad: Centaurus fought hard to repress his anger and even repeal it. The battle left him a shell of a centaur, but his courage to press on helped him regain confidence in his status as a hero and adventurer. The rest of us who traveled with him did everything we could to keep him moving. Our bond placed us into a brotherhood. Anything that would’ve upset that bond would’ve shattered him. |
The bridge that set before them proved to be the greatest disaster of all. What had become safe to him, was about to be shaken.

Equuis: Bloodthirsty griffins surrounded the bridge. They all had only one thing on their minds. They wanted a sacrifice. If we were to cross into the shadowed land, one of us would have to die. Areolys: I was the new guy in the party, and I’m also a griffin, so I was the one who got voted out of the group. I was upset. But, Centaurus wasn’t the kind of being who would give me a reason to stay upset...except for when he shot me in rear. So he made a compromise with the griffins on my behalf. |
